The CLS1450c is a 1-watt UHF business walkie-talkie with built in 2.4 GHz digital cordless telephone. The UHF walkie-talkie portion can talk to any other UHF walkie-talkies set to the same frequency and code. The cordless phone communicates through its base unit that plugs directly into a phone line or phone system analog extension port. If connected to a business phone system (PBX) that supports "analog extensions", the CLS1450c can access multiple lines and other system features such as paging, intercom, etc. System features are limited only by the phone systems capability. If connected directly to a phone company CO line, it handles one line. This may require installation of additional phone equipment and/or programming of the phone system. Your phone system vendor is your best resource for this information. Up to FOUR CLS1450c handsets may be used with ONE cordless phone base unit. However, each base can handle only one phone call at a time.
